I already have a couple fun updates to share in regard to speaking and signings.
I’ve been asked to speak at the upcoming Leadership Illinois Alumni Conference Jan. 28th.
My book is a 9 Word Rethink To Get On With Life. I invite readers in to take a closer look at some of my own experiences walking through the world. Part of that is sharing the learning that impacts my view of the #MeToo movement.
When you’re a woman who stands on your own two feet proud of your own grit and tenacity – where does #MeToo come in to play? It does in a significant way and I share thoughts about that.
You don’t have to be in Hollywood to have impactful ideas. In fact, the vast majority of women who experience their own #MeToo moments (and many are much more than moments in the ripple effects – as I illustrate from my own vantage point in my book)…live very different realities than celebrity lifestyles.
One more amazing moment to share?
An old friend texted me this week to say she’s already researched it and we’ll likely have a book signing together at our area Barnes & Noble in February for each of our books. I’m so excited and touched she jumped in to point the way. I’m all about it and will share more as I have new information.
I’ve signed off on my marketing materials as of this week. I’m expecting bookmarks, business cards, and book teaser postcards in a few weeks. They look awesome by the way.
Being a creative sort, I’m considering ways to up-the-ante on the bookmarks. I have a few ideas to combine the business side of my brain with the gypsy-hearted whimsical side of my nature that becomes clear about me in my pages. Maybe I’ll hang jewelry pendant type metal thought-provoking words off of them for added inventiveness. I might stick them between pages for added snap for anyone who wants to snag one of the books from me directly or and could use a little extra inspiration.
Or, I can hand them out when I speak to pass along support and self-belief. Oh, the possibilities!
Creativity speaks its own vital language.
